2025 Great Lakes Gun Rights Executive Summary

Below is a brief description of Great Lakes Gun Rights' areas of focus for 2025. Please understand GLGR is dependent on your generosity to put these plans into action

INTRODUCE AND HOLD HEARINGS ON BILLS REPEALING GUN CONTROL:

Gun owners were denied their chance to testify against the gun control bills back in 2023, so Great Lakes Gun Rights is working with lawmakers to introduce repeals of Whitmer's most egregious assaults on our rights and will urge the Republican House majority to hold hearings onthese important bills to allow our pro-gun voices to be heard.

TAKE THE BATTLE TO THE COURTS:

Great Lakes Gun Rights is already teaming up with Michigan Open Carry in suing the Legislature for violating your rights when they refused to allow pro-gun voices to be heard during the 2023 gun control hearings. Now, Great Lakes Gun Rights is talking with Second Amendment attorneys across the state on how best to get Whitmer's gun control laws thrown outby the Courts.

BUILD THE GRASSROOTS ARMY:

There are still too many gun owners across Michigan not involved in the fight for our rights, so Great Lakes Gun Rights is working to identify and mobilize as many pro-gun Michiganders as possible in key areas around the state to have maximum impact during the 2026 Gubernatorial and legislative elections.
